I’ve ordered this for someone as a gift and have not presented it to them yet. What I can say about this item is that it arrived on time with all contents inside.

I purchased this item as a gift. But unfortunately when I received it, it did not arrive with any spool of fishing line. The product description states that it will arrive with one spool of fishing line and a extra 110yd spool, but I received neither. I emailed the seller which was not amazon, which surprised me, and they simply responded telling me that I should just return the item to them. I thought it was a great gift just don’t expect to receive any fishing line at all.

This rod and reel combo is a good buy for the budget minded. The carrying case is nice too.

I found this to be nice little kit when I want to do some casula fishing while I am traveling and need a diversion. I would recommend it to anyone.

Don’t plan on whipping this out of the case in a hurry and dipping your hook in the water. It takes some setup and tear-down time, as it does not easily come apart to fit in the case with the reel attached and the line strung. Look somewhere else if you want a quick solution for back country fishing where compact is key. To its credit, the rod has nice action and the reel seems well built. Comes with no line and only one spool. It is not telescopic.
